What a welcome sight it was last Sunday to see a competition, albeit a low-key one, being held at our new venue.
It is such a long time since we, as a Club, have been able to work together to run any sort of meeting. Seeing so many parents, friends and Club members all doing their bit in making the day work was really heartening. It makes you remember what being part of a friendly Club is all about.
We were very glad to welcome Guildford & Godalming and Camberley & District athletes and officials too for their first visit to Egley Road.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all the effort they put in on the day, and particularly those parents and helpers who may never had the chance to work at a meeting before. There will be more opportunities to come, I’m sure.
